I really don't understand..

Can someone please tell me what the point of yelling at the TV while watching sports is? Because I really don't get it. Right now the Giants game is on, and that means my dad is randomly yelling at the top of his lungs. He gets REALLY into it. Or sometimes he'll do this disturbing cackle, if that's what it'd be considered, when someone makes a play/call horrible beyond belief (I'm just assuming, because I don't know why else someone would make such a horrific noise lol). Screaming at the TV is just so unnecessary, because 1) You sound retarded 2) You look retarded 3) It's annoying for people who have to hear it  and 4) NO ONE ON THE TV CAN HEAR YOU! Some people just don't understand...

  1. Oh my gosh, I know what you mean. My dad and brothers do the EXACT same things, especially when they were watching the Giants tonight. They scream when they do something wrong, and clap and cheer when they do something right. One of my brothers also gets really into baseball video games, and he swears a lot, and yells at the players, even though he's the one controlling them. Ah, boys and their sports, I don't think we'll ever understand it :)
