Ugh dogs and their barking

Last night I had a really weird dream. Maybe it's because I slept on my back instead of my side, which, I normally do, but my neck was really hurting. The dream had to do with me leaving a store with my dad (I think) and we were walking by this house when all of a sudden these policemen yelled something about a murderer. Then they yelled at us to "grab a gun!" and chucked them at us. I'd never shot a gun, but apparently I was supposed to help take down a murderer. The policeman, some chick, and I crouched down high up at the side of the house and aimed at some window or an opening or something weird like that. I guess someone, my dad(?) was going to ring the doorbell, then hide, and we'd shoot. Thinking about it now, I doubt the murderer would open the door, and he'd already be a step ahead, if he was good. But in the dream, right as we were getting ready to shoot, the other girl with the gun suddenly said her gun was locked or something, and at that moment I heard my dog barking. I figured my dog was in the front of the house with my dad and was gonna ruin everything and going to get killed, but before anything could happen, I woke up. Of course. Because my dog was barking. She was in my backyard with my dad, because he took her out when got up for work. Too bad I never figured out if I lived to kill the murderer. :P

Changed names

Do you ever wonder where your last name comes from? Apparently when immigrants started to America from Europe back in the 1800s, many changed their last names. These reasons ranged from the desire to sound less Irish, to mere convenience purposes, although moving from place to place as populations grew made adapting second names necessary. In history class, Mrs. Norton said that someone in her family had a really long name, and they owned a pickle factory. Since he owned a pickle factory, he shortened the name and eventually it got to be just "Blaze." Doesn't that make you wonder about your name? When I look up my name, it's a variation of "Biagi." I looked that up, and there's many variations of that name. I wonder if there's all these distant relatives I don't know of with changed names...that'd be cool. I think it's all pretty interesting.

Why, stye, why?

My left eye is crazy. I'm not sure what's up with it lately. It started about a few months ago, when I got a stye.  So my eye has this stye and my mom tells me to use these eye drops which naturally treat styes. Everything clears up, so I was fine, right? A few weeks later my eye feels itchy and irritated. I have another stye. In my left eye. After that, I wonder if it's from my mascara. I needed a new one anyway, so I buy one from Target. After my stye disappears, I seem fine up until about three weeks later, when I get another one. Once again I use the drops for a few days, and it goes away. Yesterday I thought I felt one coming on, and my suspicion was confirmed when I woke up in the middle of the night with the familiar itchiness, soreness, and puffiness under my eye that occurs when I wake up while going through a stye breakout. This is my fourth or fifth one, and it always happens in my left eye. Why? It's just really weird, not to mention annoying. I know touching your eyes definitely isn't good with all the bacteria on hands, and I probably touch my eyes a lot, but I don't think I favor my left eye. HmmI guess I'll just have to look it up.

Due dates

So my friend stayed home from school yesterday and today to work on this project for a class that's due tomorrow. She went to my house after school today to finish and print out the written work, when she finally took a closer look at the paper with the project requirements. The project wasn't due for three weeks! Fail. I mean, who does that? lol. She had been all frantic because she left it to the last minute, or so she thought, for some reason. It's funny how relieved she immediately became when she realized her mistake. Haha.
