Why, stye, why?

My left eye is crazy. I'm not sure what's up with it lately. It started about a few months ago, when I got a stye.  So my eye has this stye and my mom tells me to use these eye drops which naturally treat styes. Everything clears up, so I was fine, right? A few weeks later my eye feels itchy and irritated. I have another stye. In my left eye. After that, I wonder if it's from my mascara. I needed a new one anyway, so I buy one from Target. After my stye disappears, I seem fine up until about three weeks later, when I get another one. Once again I use the drops for a few days, and it goes away. Yesterday I thought I felt one coming on, and my suspicion was confirmed when I woke up in the middle of the night with the familiar itchiness, soreness, and puffiness under my eye that occurs when I wake up while going through a stye breakout. This is my fourth or fifth one, and it always happens in my left eye. Why? It's just really weird, not to mention annoying. I know touching your eyes definitely isn't good with all the bacteria on hands, and I probably touch my eyes a lot, but I don't think I favor my left eye. Hmm. I guess I'll just have to look it up.
